Pharmacists Longing

Dear pharma saviours,
I take this opportunity to extend my warm greetings and reverence to all workmen, workwomen and staff of all pharma industries and especially my comrades of Sai Mirra Chennai for their immense contribution in maintaining and sustaining the dynamics of entire production activities and keeping the supply chain of medicines active even at this crucial time of COVID 19 threat.

I think it is high time and opportune moment to take cognisance of all your hard work and perseverance and above all your sacrifice to the cause in continuing to sustain without attenuation the pharma productivity to serve the humans of the entire world despite the prevailing moment of COVID 19 invasions from all quarters.
While the employees of rest of the industries need to keep themselves at home for their own safety, the need for services of the pharmaceutical workforce both workmen and staff in tune with that of doctors and nurses have become the need of the hour and of paramount importance to fight against and come out successful from the present crisis.
Happy to see that majority of employees of all pharma companies render their services with due diligence, dedication and with unfettered cooperation.
At this juncture as pharma employee by myself, I feel onus on my part to reflect here, the voices of the majority of pharma employees in various forums in the recent past expressing their resentment and Regret that such of their selfless services at this crucial time is not thrown light and had not gained due recognition and appreciation from both the government and by the society as well.
I too feel there is an element of truth in this, and that only the frontline people are the one in limelight for their commendable and self-less services whereas the coequal contribution of pharmacist joining hands with the medical fraternity to establish the same common goal is unfortunately kept in the dark without due recognition and appreciation.
It is regrettable that sacrifice of life by some of the pharmacists from reputed pharmaceuticals resulting out of their duty consciousness was not appreciated or even got recognised by the society or the government as is done for the frontline workforce.
It is beyond any scepticism, that we all agree unanimously that doctors are the god in the disguise of humans, saving the life of the affected people during this crisis and for the same, due respect, privilege and safety were assured to them and even to their families members by the government and also from peoples' of all walks of life,  but at the same time it is disheartening to see that a pharmacist whose dedication to their services at this crucial time towards fulfilling the same cause, sharing the common goal with doctors and hospitals is not duly recognized and in fact forbidden.
The fact is medicines are the magic wand in the hand's medical practitioner that eventually bring about the cure for suffering patients relieving them from excruciating pain to painless state and from exceeding body temperature to normal body temperature etc., all in a matter of few hours after administration of the right medicine, resulting in a great sigh of relief from the distress, not only to the patients but to their loved ones and even to the doctors who treat them, purporting that in the absence of such medicines developed by the pharmacist even the selfless and relentless services of all frontline people would be in vain not reaping the expected benefit of recovery from the illness and to just limiting to diagnosis alone,  thereby creating an unbridgeable lacuna between diagnosis and cure.
Such being the power of the medicine we produce keeping ourselves from behind the screen not projecting ourselves to the society could be obviously the probable reason for this unawareness about pharma people in the society.
However dear friends, I wish to share an insight of proud moment for all pharmacist hereunder.
As we all seen all these days that there was an occasion that some affluent ailing Indians in order to get the best of the medical treatment either in terms of the technology not available here or to get the best of expertise, had flown abroad and there were occasions even such expertise (physicians')were made to flown here to treat patients in association with our physicians, this is the fact we all had witnessed once in a while in the past.
whereas when it comes for medicine for a cure, the scenario is totally different, all the so-called developed nations and superpowers now need a lending hand from us to provide medicines to save the lives of their people, however, toned, It may be but Their dependency on us for medicines and our capability to supply them and still be self-sufficient  Is well established and accepted by all globally, indicating that all the power, fame, affluence, technology, innovation and sophistication of so-called superpowers have become null and void against the need for medicine when it comes for human survival.
As per a statistics available an estimated amount of
415 million people suffering from diabetes and 1.13 billion people suffer from hypertension around the world whose   livelihood depends on the availability of medicine on time and for all those people,
It is no exaggeration if I say that pharmacists are real invisible God who saves and sustain their lives by producing and enabling the supply of medicines.
This message should reach to the heart of every individual all over the world to make them realise the importance of the Pharmacist and how worst would be the situation
To all those billions of people if pharmacist or pharmaceutical companies need to shut down for any reason
It would be really disastrous than the effect corona itself going in to prove the importance of the role of the pharmacists all over the world and for the same a
reasonable expectation of minimum acknowledgement of their selfless service, satisfying their Longing for a simple appreciation and recognition
Is the duty of every single citizen of the country.
I strongly believe that the dream of our beloved past president of India
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam about vision 2020 that India would become a superpower is in our near vicinity of getting materialised, provided the requisites for a superpower is redefined based on the ability to save the life of the citizens on a health crisis like this and certainly not based on the capability of the killing of other humans and conquering other countries using arms ammunition and artillery etc.and stand helpless when it comes to saving their own citizens at the time of a crisis like this.

Let us all be proud that we are performing such a noble cause helping people all over the world,
It is a matter of pride for all
pharma employee and more especially all pharma stakeholders in india who make all these possible by their impeccable guidance and support to cater medicines of global need and take India to the heights of fame and make every Indian citizen walk with their
Headz Up In pride.
Jai Hind
